5 Local Trails to Enjoy This Fall!

Here are 5 great places to get outside and enjoy the fresh Autumn air

The seasons are shifting and you may be wondering what to do as the cooler temperatures make you want to snuggle up to your family in the coming weeks. Macaroni Kid Carrollton has put together a list of 5 local trails in the Carrollton area that will jump start your Autumn adventures! Some of these trails cost a few dollars for parking, but if you're an annual pass holder it's free!

1.Little Tallapoosa Park

  Trails wind through the park where you will encounter creeks open fields, beautiful wooded acres and a fishing pond (and a splash pad during warmer months). Admission to the park is $5 per carload and is worth the memories you will make here. Restrooms nearby

2. John Tanner Park

Another beautiful Carroll County park, John Tanner Park boasts trails, a sandy beach, playground, a mini-golf course and more! Pedal boats and mini golf are available for a small cost. Entrance to the park is $5 per carload. Easily accessible restrooms

3. Laura's Park at Hay's Mill Trailhead

Access to a lovely portion of the GreenBelt with waterside views. Picnic tables, Restrooms and power outlets

5. McIntosh Reserve Park

A historic park that winds along the Chattahoochee River, McIntosh Reserve Park boasts trails, pavilions and a splash park. $5 per carload for entry
